1980's Gucci Aviator frames. Gold plated with tortoise enamel on the sides and bridge. Rare and collectable to find them unused like this. Not marked made in Italy. Marked "Titanium". In the 1980's, Gucci/YSL/Burberry manufactured some eyewear in Japan. Japan was the leader in creating the world's first frames from titanium in 1981, originating from the Sabae region. Lightest metal material for eyewear.
